Summer reading list

Well we are not into the middle of summer and I wanted to share my top 4 books I've read so far this year. I am bummed about it almost being August. Not only will I be one year older on August 20th. I will also be sending my youngest to 4k! A brand new school for my baby Julianna. It is bittersweet, but I am happy she is excited and ready to start a new chapter. So usually I go for memoirs at the book store or on Amazon.com but lately I have been submerging myself into these love stories. I get lost in the pages, and follow these amazing characters through heartache and beauty.

The Secret Wife- Paul Gill

Everything We Keep- Kerry Lonsdale

You'll grow out of it- Jessi Klein

All the Missing Girls- Megan Miranda

I encourage you to start a Goodreads page to track the "Want to Read" versus "Read"

Happy Reading Everyone!

Fresh at The Farmers Market!

Happy Monday!

I have not really been in the cooking mood lately.... is it the summer heat, or is it just my laziness?
So fresh veggies, and local favorites from the market are my go to lately.

I love a great farmers market and Wauwatosa has one of thee best!!
I love waking up early on Saturdays and by early I mean 8am. This past weekend I picked up a bunch of Pickling cucumbers, Green peppers, and onions. I decided to try pickling them! They turned out awesome. I am obsessed with pickled stuff. I love pickled mushrooms, onions... and cucumbers of course. So Ill share the easy recipe I found on Pintrest! If you live in the Milwaukee area, I definitely recommend you go to the Tosa farmers market at least once. Get yourself a Pete's Pop, Hawthorne Coffee, or a huge bag of the freshest veggies from the local farmers. Usually a local musician will be there as well. I have yet to try the "Scratch Ice Cream" but that is on my "To Do" list.

Check out the long list of Vendors you'll find at the T.F.M 👇

Podcasts of 2017 (so far)

I always like to keep my ear buds in while at work... well at least one of them in. I need to usually answer calls, and or talk to my co-workers. Lately I have been searching the internet for great podcasts to listen to. I found this list and so far. I like S town, Up and Vanished, and Terrible thanks for asking. I listened to the entire season of Crimetown. WOW that has some crazy mob life stories and kept me entertained. I wanted to share this link so you to can enjoy the captivating stories of these podcasts.

Weekend in Chicago!

Happy Sunday!
I just got back home from a beautiful weekend in Chicago. One of my favorite cities! The weather was absolutely perfect, and the sights were phenomenal. I've always wanted to go on the architectural boat tours they have down by Michigan Ave River walk. So I finally decided to go for it. After reviewing many different boating companies I decided to go with Shoreline Boat Cruise. They run every hour, or so. Only 35 Dollars and guess what!? they had a bar too... Vodka Lemonade please. The tour was about 70 min, and the tour guide was not boring at all... I love learning about all the amazing architects, city history, building history, and the different eras of style and creativity. Check out the pictures below. Also I recommend a big deep dish slice at the one and only Giordano's. I went down to Navy Pier and saw the fireworks, and had a cocktail at the Jimmy Buffet restaurant.
